About Hall Street

Hall Street is an independent menswear and ladieswear retailer based in the historic Suffolk village of Long Melford. Our story began in 2012 with the opening of the original menswear shop, built around a simple idea: carefully selected clothing, personal service and a straightforward approach to retail.

Becoming Hall Street

In 2014, the business became Hall Street, establishing the name and identity that continues today. As the business developed, so did our collection, expanding from classic menswear and smart-casual clothing into a broader range of town, country and everyday wear from established and contemporary brands.

Hall Street Online

In 2017, hall-street.co.uk was launched, allowing us to take the Hall Street approach beyond Long Melford. While Suffolk remains our home, we now serve customers throughout the UK alongside those who continue to visit us in person.

A Carefully Selected Menswear Collection

Our menswear collection has continued to evolve, with brands including R.M. Williams, Schöffel, Brax, Eden Park, Rodd & Gunn, Dubarry of Ireland and Barbour reflecting our belief in clothing that combines quality, comfort and longevity.

Ladieswear at Hall Street

In October 2023, Hall Street expanded with the opening of our dedicated ladieswear shop directly opposite the original menswear store. The ladieswear collection follows the same carefully considered approach, with brands including Part Two, Brax, Mos Mosh, Schöffel and Barbour and other selected labels chosen for their quality, wearability and understated style.

Hall Street is also very much a family business.

Leigh, our Catello German Shepherd, is a familiar part of life at the shop and has become well known to many of our customers and visitors.

Today, Hall Street remains proudly independent and firmly rooted in Long Melford. Whether shopping with us in Suffolk or online, our approach remains the same: a carefully selected collection, straightforward service and a commitment to doing things properly.
