2020 has been a first for all of us, unprecedented I hear you say! That it certainly has been.
For many reasons there has been much change this year. We were living in a transitional time before the pandemic came about and many changes have been accelerated this year as a result. Not all are negative either.
During lock-down I really had opportunity to reflect on where Hall Street had arrived since evolving from 2014 from 1 shop to 2 and the things achieved.
The one thing I came back too were the people I have met in that time, the customers, staff and the business partners we work with. And if the pandemic has reminded us of anything its about people and the importance they hold in our lives.
Equally, and naturally, I was concerned about the future and the ongoing uncertainty we face which in business can be paralysing. You can only make decisions on instinct and expertise in such a climate.
Having some time to breath fully away from the business gave me the chance to take a holistic view of all these things and I realised ironically being less was more, consolidating was the way forward from here. The beauty of being a small business is you can be agile and adapt to situations almost overnight - hopefully achieving survival as a result.
AND with a sentimental feeling coupled with excitement at once, I can confirm the permanent closure of Hall Street in Hadleigh from early Sept.
WE are going back to basics and re-grouping as strong as if we were starting all over again.
This is very much a strategic move made in the climate we face for survivals reasons only and I hope you will make the short journey over to Melford to see us in the future.
For Hadleigh our final day will be Saturday 5th September and this week we are going to full Sale to begin the closure process.
Lastly, I want to thank all my customers for the support you have shown us - for the 6 years in Hadleigh and especially for the past few months during this tough unprecedented year!!
